... and in my claim that Mitchy is too unpredictable; not to mention by beloved Lord NMH ... Lord?? Surely nothing less than King Nate will do now?
I might have to eat my words on Watto though.
Further to comments on my previous post, I don't completely dislike Watson. I think, in time, he will be a decent batsman but I consider him a totally over rated bowler. Did he prove me wrong today? Maybe, maybe not. I really hope so. I want him to be better than he is.
We need him to be better than he is.
Well, once again I didn't get to watch the match. Damn work interfering with my cricket!
I was checking in though and we looked, to begin with, like our total was going to be rather impressive, so imagine my horror when I discovered we were limited to 250. And then India seemed to be flying along and I thought we were going to get stuck on 3 wickets again (what's that all about?) but it didn't seem to happen today.
Still the ending was close and I was afraid to keep looking in case I jinxed it, so I didn't check my phone once on the bus. And then I got home and looked ... and dropped to my knees and thanked blessed Yahweh and good King Nate.
I was going to kiss the ground, but then I remembered I live in England.
Don't want to catch anything ...

King Nate took a nice catch to dismiss the last batsman. But what was wrong with Siddle? How come he wasn't bowling and Mitchell was?
Poor Witchy couldn't even enjoys his birthday. MUHAHAHA.
Siddle is on his way home as well now!
I didn't realise it was Mitchy's birthday ... maybe his mummy hadn't sent him the pressie he wanted and that was why he bowled so rubbish?
And Siddle is injured....I pity your team....But still I can't comprehend how we lost yesterday....
In a massive fluke, our bowlers suddenly learnt how to bowl. Don't worry, they'll have forgotten again by now. You'll win the next three.
Don't fret, Sid's going home is the best thing for the team with a long summer ahead. The worry is who will be next? I have never seen such a freak string of injuries in a short period of time.
You quite hard on Mitch eh!
But Ritz opening....come now ;) He does a great job lower down the order so let's keep the man there and hope he keeps getting those key wickets game after game after game.
The Siddle thing makes me sad but it had to happen at some point, he's not exactly a spinner.
Heaps nice article about Sids by Nagraj Gollapudi.
Cricinfo is suggesting that either Monkey Eyes Nannes or Turd Geeves might get the call now. I love either like a dung pile on the table but we'll have to suck it up and try to get through the remaining matches now. Best thing would be to take both, as I can't see Mitch getting many overs in the near future, unless there is some serious "mitch fixing" going on. Or does anyone think there is a chance for Stuey now?
But I am getting a little twitchy with anticipation over Crazy Clint. All that buzz about him makes me curious.
PS Great new quote, Sid. I miss the Brax :(
I am all pro piling more responsibility on Watto's shoulders now. It is a perfect chance for him to show what he is capable of doing with the ball. Also, he has joined S. Bond and S. Warne on my list of Awesome Shanes That Bowl.
And, what Ian says about the key wickets.
I didn't mention Dirty Dirk as an option in my latest post because I love him and couldn't think of anything mean or jokey to say about him.
My daddy was a Dutchman and so I really hope Dirky gets a chance, but I'm kind of thinking we should just play with who we have and get the series loss over and done with.
It can't be Geeves - too many Tasmanians is never a good thing.
"couldn't think of anything mean or jokey to say about him."
I could :D
His origin doesn't matter to me, I mean Oz is a country of immigration after all. As long as we agree that NMH = God ;)
Too many Tasmanian's....we've never had such an occurence in our team. I think having Punter, Paine and Hilfy were the most ever!
Maybe something to check on and match the Stats!
Are you kidding, Ian? We lost the Ashes solely because both Ponting and Hilfy were playing ... and the same is going to happen again in India. We only won 6-1 arsekicking 2009 because only Sunshine played in the first few matches and by then it was pretty well in the bag.
@Wes, NMH definitely = GOD and on Dirky - don't you mock the Dutch or you mock my (other) people; and he was actually born in Victoria I believe so even if his origin was an issue, it is sound.
