The Deed is done; the Summer is won (and I promise no more rhyming)

Despite being 6-77 at one point - in part thanks to the great fielding of Little Stevie, Missing Link Davey and Dussey (who we saw more of in this match than we have done for the past 4 years) - the Windies surpised us with a late hit to get to 138. Not the highest, but better than I had been expecting.

My ancestors were definitely apes

Twatto, Missing Link and Hads reached 138 by the 12th over (24 runs off the first over - nice), with The Link pulling off the 2nd fastest T20 international half century before getting out on 67. Hads went with only one run and in came Travis Ernie. After a disappointing dot ball (Come on! Was I the only one hoping for a 6 off that first ball?), Ernie sent a nice ball to the boundary for 4 and the game, the series, the summer was over.

If Australia continue to take T20 seriously like this, I'm in serious danger of getting hooked.

Erm, it was newbie Christian who finished it off, not Ernie!

Had to look into the scorecard to verify that Travis Ernie indeed = Dan Christian. Heck!
I agree on Davo being the missing link. Between Ryan Harris and homo sapiens sapiens.

Bah Rishabh simulpost *lol*

It was ... bugger. You're right. I knew it was one of the newbies, but they all look the same after a while :-) plus I liked using Ernie.

Dammit - why must I rush posts?

I just went to facebook - I wrote Dan Christian on there when it was done, but for some reason got hooked on it being Enrie when I got here. I had killed my brain cells in the swimming pool ...

Dave Warner has an even lower forehead than Jimmeh. What are they breeding back home?

Australia gets a little bit shittier every time Warner gets runs.

May we say the transition is over?

Undefeated summer, but against the likes of West Indies, and Pakistan. Both teams can't play cricket for balls...

How could you forget a Redback!

Warner kicked ass, watched his innings again!
Undefeated summer is still a fine effort regardless of the opposition.
Pakistan just played like utter crap while the Windies I give a bit of a nod due to the fact they lacked key players. Although I think not playing Brendan Nash was a f'up on their part.

I wondered where Nash was as well, Ian. I like him.

And, yes, Poshe - we Aussies expect detractors when we succeed; they're always there. Let's not forget that we also beat your side recently, on home turf and with half a team ... :-)
