The T20 gang

The team for the one and only T20 match between Australia and Pakistan has been announced and, in light of the fact that we really coudn't care less about T20 at international level (although this may be because we are shite at it), some new faces will appear.

It looks a wee bit like this:

Pup (NSW)
Bloody Vic Cammie White
Trav Birt (TAS)
Bradley Hads (NSW)
Ry the Not Jimmeh (QLD)
Dussey (West Aussie reject scooped up by the Bloody Vics)
Mitchy (WA)
Shaunie (WA)
Dirty Dirk (the only Vic not to get the "bloody" treatment but only because he somewhat rocks!)
Little Stevie Smith who be not My Lord (NSW)
Oh my god they found a South Aussie Shaun Tait
Dopey Dave Warner (NSW)
Twatto (NSW)

Notable faces that are missing:
  • My Lord
  • Jimmeh
  • Good King Nate the Invincible
  • Sids
  • Nathan Hauritz
  • Punter "I'm too good for T20"
  • oh, and Ritzy
About time they gave him a day off, but why the hell would I watch it now?

You will love Smithy, he is so dear and poor and nobody likes him. *sneef*
No one wants to see bloody Dussey. Not from a Saussie perspective. Cosgrove would have been the man here. But I guess you knew that.

Not Cossy, I've seen him waddling about. He looks like he should be jumping fences, monged out of his dial and trying to tackle... well, perhaps not or Khalif would have been in serious litigation territory with CA or the WACA.

Smith looks about 4 and I'd rather have Mussey than Dussey. MJ must be there for his whacking ability. I hope they play the Dirkless, he's not getting any younger and we need to see him as much as we can before he gets pastured.

Less said about Pup as Captain the better. But I have plans to lift myself up by my hair just like Mr Pocket out of Great Expectations when the Pupster is pootling along nurdling his singles for about 5/6 overs.

After half an hour of translating with the help of two dictionaries I seem to have figured out vaguely that you are displaying an alarming extent of unbelief. It's time for my global Cosgrove campaign.

Dirty Dirk rocks - I'm glad he's there and hope he kicks some arse.

I don't know why you are so convinced about Cosgrove, Wes. I'm sceptical at best.

@Lou I don't think I've ever seen Dussey play well, maybe he will surprise us. But most likely not. And I love Pup. I agree he is yet to prove himself as captain (although he did alright against England while Punter was back in Oz getting his arse kicked for losing the ashes again), but I still love him.
