Brett Lee is a puzzle

A jigsaw puzzle that is. Or perhaps he is related to Humpty Dumpty? All non-Indian fears about the IPL have just come true for Aussies - Brett Lee is injured again and he's done it playing in the IPL (and for a team that is already out of it!).

So whether he is a jigsaw puzzle or a lesser known cousin of Mr Dumpty, I think we need to change the rules of the Ashes: I think that if Punter and Pup can put him back together before October we just get the first two tests.

Fair?

Ok, no - just the first test then?

What? No way?

Bugger ... it was worth a try.

Sid,
I think you now have better bowlers than him, honestly.

Meh, let him break his finger. Prevents him from playing crummy guitar.

Yeah, I guess we do Stani. I just love him.

And his guitar.

What is it with bowlers and music anyway?

Sid, long time reader but first time commenter, and I'm sorry it's such a pedantic one: the correct expression from the sidebar is 'dramatis personae' (i.e., one 'n', not two). I love your blog, esp. the email exchanges. I think Stani's right about our bowling at the moment, though I'd be happier if Hilfy's knee knew what it was doing.

That's cool, I'm in the process of editing things and that was getting removed anyway.

That's my drama degree wasted, when I don't know how to spell that term!

And on the Brett Lee thing, I know you and Stani are right but I think I'm guilty of falling back on old habits and wanting to keep players like Lee as long as possible. And if you've been reading, you'll know I'm terrified of losing the Ashes again - for some reason (I don't know why) I feel like Brett Lee will be so important in us getting them back.

When I start screaming "bring back Warne", please shoot me.

Lee's lost it Sid, I feel awful, but I am pleased to be hoping can't play in the 20/20. If he lines up for the first match having barely bowled apart from getting slogged around in the IPL... well, let's just say, Hilditch doesn't have far too fall in my estimation anyway.

Anony, Sid,

Don't get me wrong, he was a fearsome creature at one point in time but now he's all sweat and grunt.

And Sid, if you wanted to just see his arse on the field then why didn't you just say so instead making it seem like it's something to do with cricket. We're very understanding you know :)

Stani, I refuse to respond.

What was that then? :)

I think I'm on to something wooooo! You're not blushing are you?

I do have a cure for you. Just play back his music video on youtube and you will be over him in a flash. No, not over him in that sense! I would go and get the link for you but that would mean I would have to search for it and any hint of that video will put me off my lunch. Sorry

He has a music video on youtube? Why has no one told me of this before ...?
