Yes, yes, you can still be T20 captain. Don't cry. You knew we weren't going to drop you, because we are so determined you will be our captain one day. I know you aren't very good at T20, and that the majority of the Australian fans want you gone - but since when did I ever give a shit about what they think? I am the Chairman of Selectors, remember?
Honest, I am.
Also, because I am the Chairman of Selectors, I am always right and to drop you now would be to admit I was wrong. And I just can't do that. I'm allergic to it.
So, off you go to England with your little team. And if you do shit again, don't worry. We'll bully Punter into stepping down as one-day captain and put you in there instead. Then we can make Cameron White T20 captain and put shitloads of pressure on him.
Actually, no we won't because he's big and scary. Maybe we need someone more docile as captain ...? Ritzy, maybe. He'd be grateful for just being allowed to play.
Anyway, I'm the Chairman of Selectors (no, really) and you are our T20 captain because I SAID SO.
Hugs and Kisses,
Andy Hilditch

P.S. Here's your team:
Twatto, Missing-link Warner, You (capt - just because), Cammie White (not captain), Dussey, Mussey, Brad Haddin (try and stop him from abusing people, please), Daniel "Wiradjuri" Christian, Little Stevie, Mitchy, Ritzy (don't worry, you don't have to play him), Ryano Harris, Dirky the Dutch God, Wild Thing Tait.
And for the love of God, don't lose to the Stanis after all this time!

I was seriously unimpressed with the idea of Michael Clarke as T20 Captain before the T20 World Cup (or whatever it's called).
I was seriously impressed with his Captaincy at the World Cup.
OK, so he's a crap T20 batsman at the moment, but how many T20 games has the man played? Like five, right?! (Or close to five, say, six, anyway.) I think they should keep him as Captain; he'll learn to bat T20-style soon enough. And besides, having a Victorian as cricket captain seems totally unAustralian.
However, Brad Haddin shouldn't be keeper: Tim Paine should. And also, Cosgrove should be in that XI. It would add to my pleasure and amusement. You know it makes sense.
Clarke has played 31 t20's for a strike rate of 101 and an average of 21. C'mon, bettiwetti, it ain't that difficult to find out this stuff.
And his strike rate has got worse steadily pretty much apart from the odd blip for the past 15 games.

Check here, all this crap about his inexperience doesn't really wash, he's played far more than some of our squad members.
I like Clarke, despite all my piss taking, and think he deserves a bit more time to get it together now that he is captain.
His being made captain in the first place, however, a bit odd ... CA did seem determined to have him regardless. I recall a phoney shortlist and all sorts of shenanigans, but it was always going to be Clarke.
Well said Sidthegnomenator..... give Michael Clarke a chance. He is actually our best T20 captain so far. This was the first time we were making it to the finals or did everyone forget that. With regards to his batting Michael is a great cricketer and will figure out this T20 stuff. Also like bettiwettiwoo said i like Tim Paine to Brad Haddin. Saw him play and keep wicket, he's really good.
I think Paine is a better T20 keeper but Haddin is a better batsman ... of course, if the rest of our batsmen didn't cock up all the time we wouldn't have to out so much thought into the keeper's skills now, would we?
Haddin a better batsman than Timmy? *asphyxiation fit* Did Haddin ever win the FR cup all on his own? Did he? *face turns blue* Did anybody ever say about him that he is a champ? *crashes down on the floor and passes out*
BTW betti =/= me.
Select Cosgrove, though!!!!
