Today, Punter did his traditional day-before-the-series press conference and got the ribbing he always gets in England. I think he actually enjoys being the bad guy over here.
Anyway, he was asked would England winning this one-day series (after the Ashes and the T20WC - note the lack of reference to the last ODI series in England) represent an "unholy trinity". His response? "It'd certainly be a bit of a change".
Sometimes, you just have to love him.
But only sometimes.

Neighbours should incorporate that image into their intro. It would be so seamless nobody would realise.
I'm having ideas, too, about where to incorporate that face...
Heaps looking forward to the series, anybody else, hmm? :)
Blood, sweat and claw marks!
Psyche Wes! I was posting on yours just as you were posting on mine LOL.
I posted the picture because it is one of the few of him smiling that I actually like. Usually I prefer the sulky ones. They're so much fun.
I get freaked out when Ricky smiles, but that was priceless.
nice one...
i came close to decoding ponting brain some time back... though sometimes there can be exceptions like you have mentioned... :)
Straight, that was really good. Before my blogging time, so I wouldn't have seen it back then.
Ponting's brain often consists of "me bat" "hit ball hard" but on occasion he does surprise us all.
My heavens, this is heading towards a real arse-kicking.
Which bowlers shall we rotate in? The one who has been smacked about in the warm-up games and has been going for over 9 an over in the twenty/20 comp over here?
Sigh.

It's worrying, isn't it? My gut feeling is that, after the year just gone, Pakistan are well due a win against us.
Tests coming ...
