Or there's a Pup and a Punter anyway. Finally, FINALLY we have seen a batting performance from the Aussies that we can be proud of. Punter got past 35 for the first time since about December and Pup - who would have got a century if it weren't for Little Stevie - ended up on 99 not out.
It's nice to see, and no one needed this more than those two, but it does raise a question - why the fuck didn't they do this 3 matches ago?
Well, they made it 290 and for the first time in a while, made the English bowlers look a bit shit. Which they are, really.
Let's hope Big Dougie and Wild Thing can clean them right up, now. Because we don't like to win series', we like to only just lose them.

Finally the Pommies are going crap. Now what do I ask Santa now I know he exists?
Hey, and I could do with a bit of critque on my first two posts, okay?
When I have a bit more time (probably tomorrow at work) I'll have another read, ok?
We really are turning into the Poms. We are winning dead rubbers. Pup could have got that ton if he had been able to hit more than singles in the overs before Smiffy arrived to do his fine little cameo. I have no sympathy for him. It's too funny.
Little Stevie gave a real injection into that last push towards a defendable score. Good lad.
I agree with Punter. I think having an extra threatening bowler like Tait has made it so much harder for the Poms. McKay is not scary one bit. And Rhino is proving worth more and more.
Steve Waugh should approve. He was always keen on winning dead rubbers.
I loved the look on Strauss' face in the end. But honestly, it must hurt the fans so much that the team came up with such an amazing performance exactly one match after the series was lost!
Absofreakinlutely okay.
I'll need to dedicate a post of gratitude to you as well then. ;)
If we win the next one as well, will that qualify as pre-Ashes momentum? Bugger.
According to Sir Stephen (we are not worthy) a loss today will be the opposite cheers, Steve .
