actually i am bit perplexed by reactions this defeat has garnered... everybody is reacting as if the series is over... mind you this is first of five match series and as they say lots of cricket still remains to be played... :)
For me it comes from the fact that I live in the UK and England cricket fans here are talking like they have already won the series. I need to stop letting it get to me.
Cardiff today, bring it on. We owe them an arse kicking at Cardiff.
Living in the UK definitely makes a difference. I've had to put up with 2 'home' Ashes losses. Grrr.
What I am worried about is our bowling attack. They'll need some pitch help to make inroads.

Steve Smith was playing a very odd innings out there. He can bat really nicely so what was all the moving around and fresh air swiping? He really showed his youth there.
