The two Australian teams will be The Bloody Vics (sans Camo White, who has found himself tied to RCB - and we've discovered yet another down side to the IPL) and South Australia. This will inevitably impress Our Wes and her Cosgrove fan club of one (sorry, hun) but everyone else is wondering what the hell happened to the Blues.
Anyone else remember how bloody fantastic they were last year? Is it possible that Cricket Australia's desire to only use NSW players as often as they can has had some consequences for the state side? Does anyone think they care?
The other teams involved are:
- Chennai Super Kings (DLF Indian Premier League – India)
- Mumbai Indians (DLF Indian Premier League – India)
- Royal Challengers Bangalore (DLF Indian Premier League – India)
- Warriors (Standard Bank Pro 20 Series – South Africa)
- Highveld Lions (Standard Bank Pro 20 Series – South Africa)
- Central Stags (HRV Cup Twenty20 – New Zealand)
- Wayamba Elevens (Inter-Provincial Twenty20 Cup – Sri Lanka)
- Guyana (West Indies Domestic Twenty20 Champions)
And who will I be supporting this time? Well, I have a wee soft spot for CSK of course but I think I will have to join Wes and support the Redbacks. So, make that a fan club of two.

Since I've got no team to support this time around, I might as well skip the whole tournament.
Nah, support CSK. They'll probably win it anyway.
If Bangalore sits Cammy on the sidelines, I'll be thinking rather harsh things of the IPL.
I can't have any other effect than trying to send bad karma to them.
I hate IPL, also there should be English and Pak teams in it and not three bloody IPL teams who need to rob their competitors of their best players (Ross Taylor Stags anyone) to have a ghost of a chance.
I am incredibly angry only thinking of it, but the Cam White thing puts the fly on top of the horse dung.
Gonna be shit this year. Shit.
And the Redbacks will miss Cos bitterly.
ANGRY
Wes
Support the Warriors...or Bangalore. Please!
Lou, Bangalore will DEFINITELY bench Cammy.
Wes, England chose not to send teams so that's up to them but why is Pakistan not there? Is that political?
I'm pretty sure RCB will have had to pay Victoria a hefty sum to compensate them for Cammie, so I'm hoping this will encourage them to use him.
If they don't use him, I will boycott all future IPLs.
And I'll do it very vocally.
It's a shame Wes, but I think it's got something political to do with Pak. And I may boycott the IPL for real if Pak players aren't chosen this time around.
Sorry Sid, can't support CSK. That yellow is too disgusting. Btw I doubt they'll win. IPL teams might be crap like they were last year.
Didn't we all the say the same thing when the last IPL started, Sunny? And yet, win they did ...
