Since there's still no news on the team for the tour to India (I know it's a bit early, but do they ever think of me??), I thought we could have a look at the nominees for this year's ICC awards. Plus it's another opportunity to laugh at Graeme Swann, and that's always fun, right?

And the winner is: well, obviously I want it to be Mike Hussey. That was pretty impressive. But surely Amir's superb over against Australia deserves mentioning? He may only get credit for 3 of the 5 wickets, but he stilll took 3 in one over for no runs. He needs to get his mum on the case!

When the next great all-rounder Bresnan is around how could you select Ameer?
I do hope Swann would win the cricketer of the year hahaha.
Umpire of the year-Rudi Koertzen!
I would better wear a helmet for mentioning Swann's name.
Huckster for 20/20 performance of the year.
I'd like Tendulkar to win cricketer, anyone who can score that many runs in test cricket and a 200 in ODI's deserves something.
Has he ever won anything?
Asif was leading wicket taker in that period so he has to get Test player of the year even if he is not Australian or Indian.
Hussey for the t20 performance, but you're right Sid, where the bloody hell is Aamer's 5-for-nothing?
I'd vote for Ellyse Perry of course :)...ahem
@Grey - how rude! I hope Swann wins bugger all for that complete load of pants about his cat.
Tim Bresnan? Are you serious? I thought he was only included as a joke. If there's any justice, Amir gets that one.
Has Sachin ever won anything? I don't know to be honest. He should definitely take ODI player of the year and maybe even Player of the Year, I think.
I'd personally give the award to Perry. What's the award?
How James Tomlinson can be overlooked for cricketer of the year is beyond me, but in the absence of Tommo I guess the next best thing would be Sachin. He'd deserve it. Man, that guy's going to retire on a high.
Lol of course Ameer has to win the award but the panel of judges foresee the trundler Bresnan scoring a 100, getting a 5for and hitting Punter on his helmet at Adelaide?
As funny as that would be, Grey - no! Bresnane must not ever win anything.
@HT I hope Sachin does win cricketer of the year, but I have this sneaking suspicion that TWatto might get it.
They seriously picked Shafiul Islam as the emerging player from Bangladesh? I have no words.
I see Morne is in the Cricketer of the Year category. Maybe they needed to keep some people they could cut for sure, so that they can make the shorter list faster.
I did wonder how the hell Morne made the list! I think you're probably right, though, it's only the long list.
I'm going to cry if either Swann or Watto wins the Cricketer of the Year award. Tendulkar is the guy who deserves it most.
Apart from Morne, there are plenty of guys who shouldn't make the list. Probably the reason why I shouldn't care much for these awards so I'm not going to cry after all.
