That is all.

Cracker of a match though the big problem is that they are not going to have any confidence that they can bowl decent teams out now.

Nor they should really. However the quicks tried their lights out. They were pretty impressive compared to the last tour.

That last LBW appeal was plumb though. The one given before that wasn't....so I guess it evened out.

There were some pretty shocking decisions throughout, it has to be said. I hope they bring the UDRS in for the second test. They really ought to have a universal standard version for all test matches, but don't get me started on cricket administrators...

But WHAT a test match!

There were some awful decisions, but I don't think there was any bias because they went both ways. As Stani said, Ohja was out but Ishant wasn't. Either way India won.

Lou, it's worrying right before the Ashes isn't it? I hope they can win the next match because they need to go into the Gabba brimming with confidence.

Pencil, great test. Amazing cricket and one of those matches where I would love to have been impartial. Since I wasn't, it was so very painful.

Owwwwwwwwwwwww fuck. Good effort, though. Let's hope for some bounce back for the next Test.

Adrian, it sucks but it does mean the teams were well matched so hopefully we can pull back the next one. My concerns are that the English team are watching and rubbing their hands together ...

It's hardly likely that they'll win the next one.

The pitch will probably be deader than this one. Or will take a mountain of turn early.

If I was an Indian curator, I'd do my best to make it easy for the Indian spin bowlers. We saw how easy the Aussies found it to score from Ohja and Bhaji after all.

Sid, I wonder if the English will have seen anything in our performance that wasn't already being highlighted as of concern: weak middle order, whole order suspect against quality offspin.

Our bowling, though we let them off the hook in the second innings (not really fair; VVS batted wonderfully well), was generally pretty decent. Had Doug not been injured, things might have turned out very differently.

Craig, hahaha ... there's always one monkey, isn't there? LOL

Adrian, I think they might have been surprised by the bowling. Johnson in no way lived up to expectations in England last year and Hilfy either. Both of them bowled well against India. Hauritz was disappointing but that's India, he'll be different on home soil - England should be expecting that.

The batting though ... eek! Yeah, that's nothing new is it?
