"Australia win" ...?

No sorry, I'm lost.

"Australia win".

This is a familiar term, but I can't think what it means. It's just been long since I've heard it.

Please help.

Right now it might mean Australia playing something else than crap in a dead rubber.
Quite a strange thing what's happened to the Aussies, where winning was so easily associated with them in the past, it's now as easily not. Was that the last international game for them before the Ashes? Because if it is, I'm really concerned Sid.

Btw, I like the blog's new outlook. I miss the old one, but this one is neat and clean and the post titles are attractive. :)

No problem. It's an incomplete sentence me old codger. Just wait a few weeks and you'll be able to complete it like so: "Australia win...the Ashes"

Yes, Sunny, it is the last international but seriously, you're only just now concerned? I've been concerned since India.

Oh, Stani, I hope so. But I have little confidence that I will be able to say that.

Well, its a common enough phrase as long as you're a Rugby fan ;)

Craig tha rugby is the only thing that's been keeping me sane. Both league and union, I've been trying to catch it when I can over here. Nice to see Australia doing some winning but, more importantly at the moment, nice to see England doing some losing.

I prefer round balls

Does this make Australia the new dead rubber specialists? There were those ODIs earlier in the year in England too..

Actually, judging by the final ODI, I think conditions at the Gabba should suit the Aussies down to the ground. That could be just the momentum they need.

The Gabba is always a good place to start because the conditions usually suit us nicely. If we can get a win there, it'll help the confidence levels if nothing else.

That series against England, I thought, was the perfect example of how crap Australia can be when their confidence levels are low. Yes, we only won the two dead rubbers but we came within a sniff of winning that middle one. Up went the confidence and up went the performances.

If only the Ashes could be that simple.
