Arrived safely in Derby. There's nothing here. It's a one-starbucks-town, which sucks, and I hear it rains a lot. Now I know why Simon Katich left the DCCC after one season. I just hope Middlesex notice me and I can go play at Lord's with Chris Rogers, too.

P.S. I hear the Central library used to be great but now the Aussie girl there has been made redundant it has gone downhill. I might give it a miss.

Doiby. Huh.
At least he'll be over here and hopefully learning to play spin and swing a leetle bit better than he does now.
We get all the young international hopefuls, excited about their first visit to county cricket. It doesn't usually last beyond thst first, rain sodden, loss entrenched season in this little city with a half empty historical quarter and lots of discount stores.
And, of course, I'm not at the central library anymore so that just makes things worse.
