Sledging we can handle, cheating we can do without #2

Remember this?

I wonder if the "c" word will come out over this:

Of course, there was probably desperation at play. We were starting to look damn good in a run chase for an enormous total and even I had a little mock when Johnson came out before Pup. But it's no excuse, desperate or not, Matty - what the hell were you thinking?

That was rubbish from Prior! And desperation indeed is not an excuse...

look like the long tour is finally having its toll on the players...

It was so dumb, I actually found it funny. No, cheating is funny really, but that clumsy effort was. Prior must think his movements fast enough to be invisible to the human eye.

It was also kind of funny considering how Botham apparently spent a not inconsiderable time of his commentating during the Ashes calling the Australians cheats ... yet has been strangely schtum regarding Prior's actions.

And finally, it was funny because one of the people I follow on twitter crafted many a tweet during the Big Bash T20 tourney calling Prior a tool ... to the extent that his Bushrangers team mate Finch told her off for being unfair (or something) and it turned out she was right. Funny that.

God knows what he was shouting for, yes, it hit the bail. But it didn't dislodge...MJ foot was glued on...WTF? Hang ya head matty

(Also, is it just me who saw it hit the bail at normal speed but is amazed it takes commentators 6 goes at slo-mo to notice?? For all of these sort of 'oooh, whats that for' situations)

That was so weird, wasn't it??? I thought at first he was going for a stumping (as keepers do...) but to go for a bowled when there are cameras and of course, the ump's eyes on you is just stupid. Cheating...at a stupid level!

Pre-KFC BB: great guy, sound values, liked by all. Post-KFC BB: Greg Chappell. Shame on you and your corrupting, grubby domestic cricket.

I had to google for quite a bit to find any comment on this, which is why I desided to mention it. After Hughes was called a cheat and, as Betti said, other Australian players were frequently called cheats by certain commentators it seemed odd that everyone was fairly quiet over this.

I don't know what he was doing, but he indicated the bails and then started celebrating so he was obviously going for the stumping. It is odd that it took the commentators 5 or 6 replays to decided that was what was going on but I guess they have to be careful.

Everyone else just went along. I don't think Mitch even realised what was going on.

If he was appealing for a stumping, he was blind.

If he was celebrating a 'bowled' he is a 'Cheat'.

But with the multiple cameras and all the technology available, he should have known he'll be caught.

So all we can say is...

Dumb !

Astonishing Stupidity !

Govind, that's what I don't get - did he really think he would get away with it? The mind reels.
