Collapsomatitis (noun): it's fairly bloody self-explanatory, isn't it?

If not, for definition see Australia's innings against Pakistan. Here's a link to the scorecard.

By all means, mock at will.

So, we've set them 177 to win. It's not a great total to have to defend but it's not completely impossible, right? The game plan is this - we send Brett Lee out there and hope like hell he can do it on his own, because no one else is showing up.

Obviously.

Questions? Comments?

I hope not, because I'm sulking.

It was a very damned good bowling show by Pakistan !

Give them some credit.

The same Australian team had batted quite well so far.

Very good bowling by Pakistan, some lame shot making from the Aussies, but the do crap themselves when faced with disciplined bowling these days.

Umar Gul's ball to Watto was a ripper.

So... does anyone think that it is slowly filtering into Punter's brain that he is going to have to retire soon?

I didn't deliberately not give them credit, so apologies if I offended. Umar Akmal was fabulous out there. Very well deserved win.

Hi Lou, I think we posted almost at the same time there - Ponting is starting to feel the heat I think. His behaviour toward Smith the other day was not good. He is starting to lose his temper a lot.

I'm still trying to work out what Smith is doing in the team, really, is he there for any genuine reason? but then I'm wondering what Punter sees as his role now as well.

Let's face it, he's hardly captain material if he can't score runs. That was just about the only thing he had going for him.

Smith is there to spit all over the place and keep the Indian grounds watered. That's all I saw him do today, although why Sky felt they had to keep showing him spit is beyond me.

Oh god, that means he has learnt something from the grumpy old bastard then.

I'm filthy about our batting and the fact that no one could back Lee up. I'm even more pissed off at the fact that Ponting didn't seem to think there was anything to worry about!!! :|

We better not lose the quarters to India...I'm supposed to be visiting India in June this year and people there will not let me forget it. :S

I've got to tell you, Psych, I don't like your chances of a peaceful holiday but you never know. Ponting does seem to be living in a bubble where nothing is wrong, while the rest of us are screaming.

I know My Lord isn't the greatest spinner in the world, far from it, but he's better than those two we have at the moment. I hope he gets his chance when the cup is done (next week) and his shoulder is better.
