Ponting excelled again and lost us the toss
and Canada chose to bat first;
We'd gone quite a few without a loss
but one here would be embarrassing at worst.
So we started to bowl but something was wrong,
that darned Hiral Patel was looking a little too strong.
Lee got his partner in over number four,
but to get the second wicket we had to wait eight overs more!
When Patel finally got out, it was something of a relief.
Trusty Twatto once again led the charge
and in the end our win was pretty damn large,
but don't be fooled - that Patel sure gave us some grief.
The boys are looking rusty, they could use a decent hit
for when we get to the semis, we might just struggle a wee bit.
OK, I'm just gonna lie here for a bit while you bastards do some of the work for a change.

"for when we get to the semis"
So sure about the semis? My sixth sense tells me that Australia will beat Pakistan to qualify on top of Group A, and England will win tomorrow and eventually qualify at 4th place in Group B.
When Australia and England meet in the QFs at Mirpur, Australia will win the toss and bat first. The dew that caused so much of frustration to Swann earlier this week will now cause Mitch and Tait to lose their radar... and England's winning runs will be scored by a wide one from Mitch that will beat Haddin!
If all of this comes true, then I shall change my name to Nostradamus! ;-)
Surprised you didn't mention the Ponting-Smith incident...
You know what, Shridhar - I meant to say quarters!! But there you go ...
If everything you said comes true, we can change your name to Shane Warne.
Tracer, the Ponting - Smith incident was interesting but I couldn't fit it in becuase it would take a few lines. Ponting clearly called for the catch and Smith continued to run in for it, but surely Ponting over-reacted? Was there any need to go throwing stuff around?
Ponting's temper is failing a lot lately, yes?
And will I get Liz Hurley too? ;-)
I can promise everyone that I won't send a text message intended for her eyes to my partner! :)
For the first time, I felt bad for Smith. It is never nice for a captain to show such disgust and walk away from you, when you are already feeling shitty about yourself.
At least, Punter gave him a pat on the back when they left the field.
I don't know about Liz Hurley, but we'll set the ICC onto you - predicting correctly is not allowed!
Punter has apologised, but he is getting himself in a position where he needs to apologise a bit too often lately. A bit worrying.
